Nothing A Super Bowl Can’t Cure | Russell Wilson And Ciara Turned Away at Cannes Beach Club, Star QB And Pop Singer Had To Wait Like Everyone Else

The 2022 NFL offseason has been a whirlwind for Russell Wilson and his singer wife Ciara. The two are now entrenched in Denver, the “Mile High City,” after a blockbuster trade to the Broncos for Wilson.

Since leaving the “Emerald City” of Seattle, the only place Wilson has called home during his 10-year NFL career, the Wilsons have been busy. From getting acclimated to their new surroundings to still honoring youth programs started in the Pacific Northwest, Russ and Ciara have been busy. They’ve also been seen courtside at Denver Nuggets games and cheering loudly as the Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup.

The pair recently ventured to the South of France to enjoy the scenery and take in the infamous Cannes Film Festival.

While there, they encountered a harsh reality. Allegedly, their stardom wasn’t enough to jump the line at La Guerite restaurant and beach club. The football and music star had to wait in the long lines, like the average person.

Imagine that.

According to Page Six, a source close to the situation had this to say about it …

“They had to wait in the queue like the rest of us.”

The pop star previously performed at the Cannes Lions festival in 2019.

This is rare for a celebrity couple of Russ and Ciara’s stature to have to wait in line to get into the happening spot. But it happened.

Couple Has Been Seen At Many Events Since Denver Arrival:

Since Wilson’s trade to Denver, the star couple has been supportive of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche. While the Nuggets weren’t able to bring home the NBA championship, the Avs did bring home Lord Stanley’s Cup with a thrilling six-game series win over the then reigning back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning.

They’ve also been spotted at the Monaco Grand Prix, along with many other power brokers, including Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. The race is a who’s-who type event.

Ciara Owns Masters: Wilson Set To Begin Broncos Career In Familiar Place

Most recently, Ciara has been upfront about how she received her masters from her label. During an appearance on ABC for Juneteenth, the singer said:

“I had this song called ‘Level Up,’ I had the video for the song as well. I had a whole vision for my project. I sat down, and I talked to the CEO at that time. It was like, he made up his mind before I came into the room. He wasn’t checking for it.”

Ciara says she asked for her masters so she could become an independent artist under her own label.

“Amazingly enough, they gave me my masters. They gave them to me for free! So, it let’s you know they didn’t believe at all …. It was that easy and I was ready.”

As for Russell, he leads a Broncos team that believes his arrival makes them Super Bowl contenders. That remains to be seen, but what Wilson does bring is a huge upgrade and stability to a position that’s seen 11 different starters since Peyton Manning retired in 2015-16.

The Broncos open the 2022-23 season with a road game on Monday Night Football at the Seahawks, the only team Wilson had ever played for until the March trade.

By the end of this season, he and Ciara should be able to get into any event in the world without waiting on line.
