NBA Drops New MLK Day Trailer “Banners”

The NBA pays tribute to Martin Luther King’s legacy. 

This week, the NBA unveiled “Banners,” a new spot for MLK Day that pays tribute to the many ways NBA players past and present honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and reflect on how his values translate off the court.

The video features NBA legends Bernard King, Dikembe Mutombo, Dominique Wilkins, and Vince Carter among others. All four are known for their philanthropy and they take a moment to salute — raising their banners into the rafters — today’s players who are following in their footsteps.

NBA Celebrates MLK Day

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, NBA legends Bernard King, Dominique Wilkins, Dikembe Mutombo, and Vince Carter are on hand to witness the raising of banners reflecting shared values of unity and progress. NBA celebrates MLK Day on January 21st.
