Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is accused of trying to fly out an Instagram model while having a girlfriend. Unfortunately, it sounds like a regular day in the life of an NBA star. However, the call-out was timed perfectly with a high-level game performance dedication Edwards gave his girlfriend on Saturday after a win over the Houston Rockets.

Amid the crowd chanting “MVP” during an on-court interview with Bally Sports’ Katie Storm, Edwards discussed his 44-point season high-scoring night performance and what motivated him to catch fire, delivering multiple dunks during the game.

“But was begging to fly me out…,” Sophia wrote in a retweet of a picture of Edwards and his girlfriend the day after the game.
Twitter users quickly called her out for the Edwards “exposition.”

One Twitter user took particular umbrage, with his view being Sophia was a “side chick” that might harbor jealousy toward Edwards’ girlfriend as his primary love interest. The “Nigerian Amazon” had a spirited retort.

She then sent a finisher blow to any other social media users with an opinion about her exposing Edwards’ romantic side moves.

Anthony Edwards Is A Great Young Player
During the Jan. 21 game, Edwards helped the Minnesota Timberwolves rally to overcome a 12-point deficit in the second half to defeat the shocked Houston Rockets, 113-104, at the Target Center. Edwards shot 17-of-29 and made 8-of-16 three-pointers. He also added six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks, in addition to wowing the crowd with three spectacular dunks.
Edwards has had controversial off-court moments in his career. The 22-year-old posted homophobic comments on his Instagram story. After observing a group of men who he described as “queer-a**,” Edwards added, “look at the world I came to.”
The backlash was swift, and he issued an apology on Twitter.
“What I said was immature, hurtful, and disrespectful, and I’m incredibly sorry,” he wrote. “It’s unacceptable for me or anyone to use that language in such a hurtful way, there’s no excuse for it, at all. I was raised better than that!”
Anthony Edwards will need to add staying out of IG models’ DMs to his list of what not to do as a celebrity. The streets are indeed watching and talking.
