LeBron James: “I Stand With Kap. I Kneel With Kap.”

At All Star Weekend, LeBron lets the world know that he’s still down with Kap.

LeBron James has stood firm on his stance that athletes are more than just athletes. That athletes shouldn’t “just shut up and dribble.”

Colin Kaepernick took a knee in the fight against police brutality and social injustice.

Together they have contributed to the awakening of athlete activism that has swept through the sports landscape, angering some and thrilling others.

This weekend at the 2019 NBA All Star Weekend in Charlotte, LeBron was asked about Kap’s settlement in his collusion case against the NFL, and he responded passionately.

I stand with Kap. I kneel with Kap. I feel like what he was talking about nobody wanted to listen to. Nobody wanted to really understand where he was coming from.” https://t.co/TUjpgK8JHj

“I think it’s important to stand up for what you believe in,” said James. “I stand with Kap. I kneel with Kap.”

James is not one to shy away from his beliefs, taking on everyone from the haters and racists to NFL ownership. He continues to be one of the leaders in athlete activism and empowerment. Kap has sacrificed his NFL career to stand for what he believes in, and he has been supported by athletes and fans across the spectrum.

Both are supported by Nike, who shocked everyone by unveiling a marketing campaign which included Kap.

And both continue to fight for what’s right.
