LeBron James is set to become the first active basketball player to surpass the $1bn mark.
The Klutch Sports Group announced on Sunday that James agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to ESPN business expert Darren Rovell(and George Mills of Express.com), this contract will make him “hit $1bn in career earnings in his next deal, about 65 % of which will come from endorsements.”
So no matter how you feel about James moving to LA, this ultimately was a smart business move for him and his family.
