Jay Z’s 40/40 Club Is Headed to the Airport

The next time you’re stuck at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport because of a lengthy layover or weather-related delay, don’t fret. Thanks to Hova, you no longer have to sit on those hard seats or sprawl out on uncomfortable floors. Now you can go to the club and chill for a spell.

Jay Z’s 40/40 Club is coming to what is considered the world’s busiest airport.  According to spokeswoman Victoria Hong of Delaware North Companies, the sports bar is located in the Concourse D concessions area.

"We want to have the same type of feel as the regular 40/40 Club," Hong said. "It's the airport version of the 40/40 Club."

Airport concessions director, Paul Brown, said there are plans to create a VIP lounge area of the club, separate from the sports bar – at 1,500 square feet – on a different floor. The place is expected to open in the late fall being a lounge that’s a "scaled down" replica of the original club.

The first Manhattan location opened in 2003, with Jay Z and business partner Juan Perez.
