The annual Sprint Cup Banqueted hosted comedian Jay Mohr on Friday night held for NASCAR drivers. Normally, the idea of someone getting roasted would not be considered that big of a news story. But in this instance it seemed to highlight the attitudes of an all-boys club that is still a little sore that a girl was allowed in.
Danica Patrick was visibly uncomfortable as the comedian ripped into her for her lack of wins; "I hope you're too uncomfortable tonight. I know you're not used to being this close to the front." said Mohr.
That was followed by a dig at Patrick's boyfriend, NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. "Ricky, let me give you a little advice, just guy-to-guy. Next time your girlfriend asks you, "Does this fire suit make me look fat?" Just say no, brother!" Danica nor Stenhouse even cracked a smile at Mohr's attempts at comedy.
