Head coach Sonny Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs are at it again. Fresh off the most memorable season in school history, an appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship game, the Horned Frogs are using that momentum on the recruiting trail.
Currently with the No. 19-ranked recruiting class, and one of the top transfer classes in the country, things are looking up even more in Fort Worth, Texas.
Now comes the news that the Horned Frogs are the favorite to sign 2023 five-star signal-caller Jaden Rashada. The supremely talented California gunslinger is looking for a new home after Florida released him from his national letter of intent last week. This after Rashada requested to move on following his reported $13 million NIL deal with the school falling through.
Jaden Rashada Is Not Playing Amateur About His NIL Money | Bidding Wars Are Real In College Football
Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt blamed the school and Gator Collective for even offering such an insane amount of money to Rashada.
On the “Joel Klatt Show: A CFB Pod,” here’s what Klatt said:
“The ultimate fault lies at the feet of the people who created the vacuum in the first place.”
Why Should Rashada Plant His Feet In Fort Worth?
Reports are new TCU offensive coordinator Kendal Briles took a trip to The Golden State this week, and Rashada is expected in Fort Worth this weekend.
Adding a player of Rashada’s talent would be huge for the aforementioned Dykes and his steadily rising program. He’d instantly become the highest-rated recruit to sign with the school out of high school. Plus, with 2022 Heisman runner-up Max Duggan declaring for the draft, Rashada could come in and play right away. And while, Duggan was very good, he overachieved tremendously. As for the nomadic Rashada, he’s the much more talented player.
Jaden Rashada has an On3 NIL Valuation of $450K. His broken deal with the Gator Collective was worth $13.85 million over four years.
An ACC assistant described the deal as “the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard.”

Rashada is the highest-ranked remaining unsigned recruit in the 2023 class, and the Horned Frogs would love nothing more than to add their future QB in an unexpected turn of events.
Horned Frogs Aren’t Only Teams In On Rashada
According to Bookies.com, TCU and Arizona State have the best shot at landing Rashada’s services, followed by Washington and California. With the Horned Frogs having no QB signed to this class, Rashada could instantly step in. Also, with the aforementioned Briles bringing a very QB-friendly system with him from Arkansas, it’s a great chance for Rashada to take the reins left behind by Duggan immediately.
Now it’s up to the Horned Frogs to lay it on thick and land a guy who could be a three-year starter for a program on the continual rise.
With the aforementioned Duggan, top running back Kendre Miller and top wideout Quentin Johnston all declaring for the NFL draft. Rashada would join former Alabama transfers and five-star recruits, Trey Sanders and JoJo Earle, essentially giving Dykes and free another trio to build around in Fort Worth.
Rashada throwing passes against Colorado and their two dynamic cornerbacks, Travis Hunter and Cormani McClain in Week 1 of the 2023 season would be see TV.
