Gate At LeBron James’ L.A. Home Spray Painted With The N-Word

TMZ Sports is reporting that that a Los Angeles home owned by LeBron James has been vandalized with a racial slur on the front gate. Who knows why some people do what they do, but it was obvious that whoever did this knew it was LeBron’s crib.

So you could imagine all sorts of speculation from there. But to be clear, this isn’t the first time that an NBA player has had his home vandalized because of race.

Some may recall Los Angeles Clippers’ head coach Doc Rivers’ home was set ablaze in an act of racially motivated arson in 1997 when he was a TNT analyst.

However, the fact that it’s happening a day before the NBA Finals cannot b overlooked. LeBron bought the home in 2015 but did not live there on a regular basis. Investigators are looking for security footage. The racial slur has since been covered up. But it is no doubt a sign of the times.
