HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ has become one of the most watched shows on television currently averaging 18 million gross weekly viewers, rivaling AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’, which recently averaged 18.4 million viewers.
‘Thrones’ is approaching The Sopranos' HBO benchmark of 18.2 million viewers, set in that series fourth season, prior to Nielsen's 2004 measurement change.
With two episodes remaining, ‘Game of Thrones’ season to season increase stands at 25 percent.
