Tonight lightweight championship action is live from South Florida as Lightweight world champion Rances “Kid Blast” Barthelemy takes on former world champion Mickey “The Spirit” Bey.

Bey, (22-1-1), who is currently on a four-fight win streak takes on the undefeated Barthelemy (24-0) in a battle of redemption as Bey was stripped of the IBF belt due to inactivity. The Mayweather Promotions fighter looks to join Badou Jack as one of the fighters in the stable with a belt.

You have a two-time champion fighting a world champion that never lost his belt in the ring, said Bey at the final press conference. That says it all right there. We’re two elite fighters. We’re both going for glory.”

However, the Cuban, who is thrilled to be in close proximity to his countrymen in South Florida, has no plans to be dethroned just yet.

I come prepared with a few strategies, Barthelemy said at the final press conference. I never stick to one game plan because us Cubans were taught to have a few up your sleeve so that you can adjust according to whatever presents itself to you in the ring.

Catch all the action live from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino tonight on Spike TV at 9pm EST

UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Bisping

After former UFC Middleweight champion Chris Weidman pulled out of his rematch with current champion Luke Rockhold due to injury, the scramble to replace him netted MMAs British bad boy, Michael The Count Bisping.

The two have fought before in 2014 where Rockhold submitted Bisping early in the second round. Now back after campaigning online to fill the void left by Weidman, the two are mixing it up verbally making for an interesting rematch for the ages.

I think people have always been drawn away from confidence for some reason, that people are haters, they want to see you lose, said Rockhold at the pre-fight press conference. If you think something the likelihood of it happening is very slim. If you believe in something, if you are confident in that situation you will achieve it. I know Im going to knock him out.

Rockholds current five-fight UFC winning streak in middleweight division is the second -ongest active streak in the division behind Yoel Romeros six and is the longest among active fighters.

Rockhold has earned 13 of his 15 career victories by stoppage. That includes all five of his wins with the UFC. He handed former champion Weidman his first professional loss in stunning fashion, knocking him out in the fourth round to win the championship.

Bisping is currently on a three-fight UFC winning streak, with his six stoppage victories tied for fourth most in divisional history behind Anderson Silva (11), Chris Leben (9) and Nate Marquardt (8).

Bisping is one of only two people to say that they have ever beaten Anderson Silva in the UFC. The other is Chris Weidman.

Catch UFC 199 live from The Forum in Los Angeles this Saturday on pay-per-view.
