As wide receiver DeSean Jackson returns to Philadelphia to play for the Eagles, he’ll be representing Los Angeles as well.
Jackson will be playing in custom cleats this season, in honor of his friend, the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed back in March at the age of 33.

The cleats have Hussle’s face on one side, with “Rest In Paradise” written on the inside. Hussle’s lyrics are painted on the other side.
Jackson had the shoes done by Marcus Rivero of Soles by Sir, and he plans to wear the shoes every game—he will more than likely earn a fine for each outing.
The NFL only allows custom cleats to be worn in games during its “My Cause, My Cleats” period.
Both Jackson and Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, both grew up in the Crenshaw section of Los Angeles.
Sunday’s game was Jackson’s first for the Eagles since being traded in March back to the team that drafted him. Jackson also plans to auction off the custom cleats with all proceeds going to the children of the late rapper.
