A judge has dropped all charges against former New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis stemming from an alleged assault in Pittsburgh last month, NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala reported Wednesday.
Revis, 31, was facing five criminal charges relating to the incident prior to Wednesday’s preliminary hearing in Allegheny County (Pennsylvania) court.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told NFL.com that the incident remains under review as part of the league’s personal conduct policy.
Revis’ longtime friend, Rashawn Bolton, testified that he came to Revis’ aid during the alleged Feb. 12 incident and was responsible for knocking out two men, Kinkhabwala reported.
Bolton said he intervened when he saw two men attacking Revis. He testified that he knocked out the two men and said it was his voice on a video released by TMZ showing the immediate aftermath of the incident.
