Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and Seahwks corner Richard Sherman usually avoid contact on the field. Wednesday afternoon, they found themselves throwing jabs across the Twitterverse at one another. It all began when Revis didn't find it funny when Sherman tried to anoint himself as the valdevictorian of the NFL cornerback class during Super Bowl week. It's a tame back and forth, but Richard Sherman seems more invested in emerging victorious in their Twitter scrap. The disappointing aspect of this beef is that it doens't involve two players who'll ever be on the field at the same time.
The back and forth began with this tweet by Revis:
I never seen a man before run his mouth so much like girl. This dude just steady putting my name in his mouth to get notoriety @rsherman_25

Remember that time the number of twitter followers mattered more than the production on the field? Me either @revis24
