Josh Harris, David Blitzer and the 76ers Step Up
The team’s six-figure contribution provided Philly students transitioning to e-learning with 10,000 laptops, nearly 200k meals for more than 150,000 families and gloves and sanitizer to local hospitals via the PHL COVID-19 Fund and Philabundance.
Yesterday, Harris and Blitzer made a significant donation to New Jersey’s RWJBarnabas Health to secure funds for ventilators and surgical masks along with hand sanitizer, gloves, gowns, cleaning supplies and eye protection for the 35,000-plus employees.
On Tuesday, Ben Simmons and the Mayor of Philadelphia thanked the Sixers for its multi-million dollar donations, after Simmons addressed fans on Monday helping to launch The Philly Pledge.
