Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu tore his right ACL during Sunday nights 40-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mathieu’s injury was non-contact, as he fell to the ground after intercepting a pass in the fourth quarter. An MRI reveled the ACL injury, his second knee injury in two years, which will require surgery,
The injury couldn’t come at a worse time for the NFC West champion Cardinals who are looking to secure a first round bye. The Honey Badger was having a career season with 89 tackles and five interceptions.
Thank you all for your prayers. The boy will be back to claim what’s his. To my teammates, I will be with you!! pic.twitter.com/EAfvCN5ZMi
