Bart Scott “Can’t Wait!” To Join CBS’ Inside The NFL Studio Show

Less than a week ago CBS' Inside The NFL dumped Shannon Sharpe and Dan Marino, before adding recently-retired Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez to the desk. On Monday, CBS added former Jets linebacker Bart Scott to the show on Monday. Scott 's most known for his fiery postgame interview with ESPN's Sal Paolantonio following the New York Jets' 2010 playoff win over the New England Patriots. After lampooning the Pats defense's ability to stop a newsbleed, Paolantonio told Scott he'd see him in Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship Game to which Scott replied "Can't Wait!" to conclude his epic diatribe.

During his playing career with the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens, Scott was a vocal locker room leader and a soundbite waiting to happen.

Last season, Scott was a contributor on the CBS Sports Network's minor league show, The Other Pregame Show before getting called up to the Sunday pregame big leagues.

"Bart joining The NFL Today is a natural progression from his outstanding work during his first season on TOPS," CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said about Scott's promotion. "Bart brings a dynamic personality and unique perspective as a recently retired player providing strong opinions on all the hot-button issues on a weekly basis. We are confident he will continue to bring that perspective and those opinions to The NFL Today."
