Sixers Stick To City Of Brotherly Love Principles By Signing Jrue Holiday’s Brother

Some of us weren't fortunate to be blessed with brothers. There's nothing wrong with sisters, or three of them, but nothing compares to the company of a bro on the road during an NBA season. The Philadelphia 76ers recognized that and according to Pro Basketball Talk they signed Jrue Holiday's brother, Justin Holiday. To make room for Justin, the 76ers cut point guard Jeremy Pargo. Btw, Jeremy's brother plays for the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Sixers front office brass haven't made a dent in the win column, but they’ve proven their commitment to Holiday by bringing his older brother up from the D-League's Idaho Stampede. Holiday averaged a modest 17 points and 5 rebounds per game as the Stampede's starting swingman, but this was clearly a move to keep their star guard happy in the midst of a dismal season.

The Sixers aren't the only organization with siblings on the same roster. Indiana has the Hansbroughs, Ben and Tyler, while the Phoenix Suns paired Markieff and Marcus together in Phoenix before the trade deadline. The Knicks don't have any siblings on their active roster, but J.R. Smith's brother Chris played with the Knicks summer league roster and signed a contract before injuring his knee during training camp.
