CNN reports that a New York grand jury has decided not to charge Officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Staten Island resident Eric Garner.
Following on the heels of the decision in Ferguson not to charge Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown, this is now the second case of an unarmed black man losing his life at the hands of a white police officer. But in the case of Eric Garner, cell phone video highlighting the police taking Gardner down, coupled with the New York City medical examiner ruling the death a homicide, gave Garner's family, friends and supporters more cause to believe that Officer Pantaleo would be indicted for Garner's death. But today's ruling proved just the opposite.
