Alabama’s Tony Brown Is Ready To Bring His Winning Ways To The NFL

Coming out of high school in Beaumont, Texas four years ago, Tony Brown was one of the top football recruits in the country. In addition to being Texas’ Mr. Football, he was also the state’s Class 4A 100-meter champion and the 110-meter hurdles champion in the Junior Olympics and USA Junior Nationals.

His speed combined with a love for the physicality of football was evident immediately upon his arrival in Tuscaloosa, where he appeared in every game for the Crimson Tide in every game as a true freshman.

There’s no denying his championship pedigree, having won two national titles with the Crimson Tide under the tutelage of head coach Nick Saban.

NFL Draft Prospect Tony Brown Talks Nick Saban and Graduating in 3 Years

Former Alabama defensive back and NFL Draft Prospect Tony Brown talks Coach Nick Saban graduating college in 3 years, setting goals and the impact his parents had on his life and others.

Projected as a physical nickel cornerback who can make an immediate contribution in run support and on special teams at the next level, Brown wowed Hall of Famer Deion Sanders during his workouts at the NFL Draft Combine.

“This kid here has been ballin’, Sanders said during NFL Networks telecast of Brown’s workout. When you start pulling your shirt up, letting us see the abs, that means you’re feeling it.”

After blazing his 40-yard dash in a smoking 4.35 seconds, all Sanders could simply say was, “Wow!”

Brown loves to light up his opponents, but there’s plenty more to defensive back whose parents are both teachers and inspired him with their selflessness.

Borwn recently stopped by The Shadow League’s office to give us some insight into where he’s come from, his time at Alabama and where he’s heading in the days and years ahead.
