Jimmy Garoppolo Just Got Paid In Full

Jimmy Garoppolo is headed to the biggest payday in NFL history. Yup, Jimmy G and the San Francisco 49ers have a agreed to a deal reportedly worth $137.5 million for over five years.

Garoppolo show many flashes of brilliance and, apparently, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch believes hes a franchise quarterback.  The only thing he had to give up in the trade with the New England Patriots that landed Garoppolo was a 2018 second-round pick. Hes in the final year of a rookie deal and the Niners didnt want to use the franchise tag on him.

The 49ers and QB Jimmy Garoppolo have agreed to a five-year, $137.5 million contract, source says. The biggest deal in NFL history on a average-per-year basis.

The 49ers went 5-0 in games that he started this year and the former second-round pick has never lost an NFL start. He took a team that was 1-10 and led them to a 6-10 finish.

The 26 year old has only seven career starts though.  His deal is worth, on average, $500,000 more than that of Lions QB Matthew Stafford. But as we all know, Jimmy G is unlikely to see all of that money, as NFL contracts are not guaranteed. But whatever the contract is actually worth, one thing is certain: Jimmy G just got paid!
