This afternoon Adrian Peterson released this statement and apology on his Twitter account. Despite facing two years in jail and a $10,000 fine if convicted, the Vikings activated their star player for this weekend's game against the New Orleans Saints, waiting for the legal process to play out before any additional action is taken. The NFL, through spokesperson Brian McCarthy, stated that the league will review the case against Peterson "under the NFL's personal conduct policy."
