In this game, very few have achieved significant longevity. Fortunately for us, Rob Parker is one of those who has done just that and more.
In Detroit this weekend, NABJ will be honoring Parker as their 2018 NABJ Sports Task Force Journalist of the Year, which is a coming home for the media veteran as he worked in Detroit for two decades. Before he accepts his award, he sat down with us to discuss his career, his future and the state of Black journalism. Rob knows his stuff and he continues to show it every day, all while continuing to give back to those coming up behind him, which is one of the many reasons he’ll be receiving this prestigious award.
