We’ve heard the story. Sunday, June 7, in the early morning hours, comedian Tracy Morgan was involved in a horrific three car pileup on the New Jersey Turnpike as he returned from a performance in Delaware. The accident killed friend and fellow comedian James McNair, resulting in Morgan suffering broken ribs, a broken nose, broken femur and broken leg. Initial reports had Morgan fighting for his life. He was listed in critical condition. Today The Shadow League is happy to announce that he has been upgraded to fair condition, which is quite an improvement indeed.
"Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement," Morgan’s publicist Lewis Kay told CNN. "His personality is certainly starting to come back as well."
Jeff Millea, who was also a passenger on the limo bus, was upgraded to fair condition as well.
Truck driver Kevin Roper turned himself in to police the night of the incident and has plead not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto. Police say Roper has been driving for 24-hours prior to the crash, Roper denies this.
