2014 continues to be quite the year for Pharrell who can’t fail. Now the Grammy-winning “Happy” singer has been tabbed to replace Cee-Lo Green as a coach on season 7 of The Voice. The announcement was made via Twitter and the show’s creators could not be happier about the new addition. Pharrell was a guest on The Voice last year as part of Team Usher. He did such a great job that New York Magazine wrote “Pharrell should be a coach”, and apparently The Voice was listening.
"His dominance in record sales in 2014, coupled with his incomparable accomplishments in the world of fashion and design, make him an irresistible addition to The Voice family," said Paul Telegdy of NBC Entertainment. "He has already made a considerable impact as a mentor, drawing on an impressive track record as both a producer and performer. It is a perfect fit for 'The Voice' as we evolve and reach for new heights with this franchise. It feels like we are welcoming an existing family member home."
