New England fans who passed out yesterday upon hearing news that Tom Brady hurt his knee, can wake up now. Preliminary tests have revealed that it is not a major injury and Brady even mentioned that he’ll play in Friday’s preseason game against Tampa Bay.
From NBC Sports:
Brady intends to practice today and play in Friday night’s preseason game against the Buccaneers, Ed Werder of ESPN reports.
The injury has been described by some reports as a knee sprain, but Werder’s sources said it was more of a bruise, and that assuming another examination doesn’t reveal something different, Brady is going to be good to go.
This isn’t just a win for Pats fans, but NFL fans in general. Brady is one of the top talents in the game and him being out makes the league a worse place. Plus, this keeps Tebow discussion down, which we all agree is a plus.
