The Kansas City Chiefs are heading into their first season without stalwart, game-breaking wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The team traded the speedy Hill to the Miami Dolphins.
To make up for the loss of their most explosive weapon, K.C. added a few proven and talented pass catchers in their own right. One being former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster, who fell out of favor with the Steelers.
Smith-Schuster is one of the many players who uses social media regularly, but in one ESPN analyst’s opinion he spends too much time making Tik Toks.
ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith has long been an opponent of Smith-Schuster being on TikTok when he was a Steeler.
According to SAS, that addiction has seemed to resurface now that he’s with K.C. During Friday’s episode of “First Take,” Smith took him to task for once again being on there often.
“JuJu Smith-Schuster, the brother can ball. The issue is we gotta get him off TikTok. That’s what we got to do. We ain’t looking at JuJu Smith-Schuster when he’s on the field and questioning his skill. We just saying the brother’s priorities need to stop with the damn TikTok.”
Smith continued:
“We don’t want to see you on that 13- or 14-year-old stuff like that or playing with their parents who happened to be on TikTok because your damn daughters or your sons want you to get in TikTok.”
“You’re a grown-ass man in the National Football League. Get the hell off TikTok, OK? And get back to playing some damn football.”
Is Smith overreacting about JuJu being on a social media app in his free time? Seems that way, and unless it’s truly affecting his play there should be nothing wrong with it.

SAS Believed Smith-Schuster Would Halt TikTok Fun
In April, Smith went on record saying he believed Smith-Schuster would have a rebound season because he wouldn’t engage in so much TikTok interaction. Smith talked about how he believed new surroundings would kill old habits.
“All I’m trying to say is this, Tyreek Hill is gone. JuJu Smith-Schuster is there now alongside Mecole Hardman. Do you know what we know about JuJu at this particular point in time? He ain’t doing TikTok no more. He’s declared that he won’t be doing TikTok this year, Thank God, OK?”
Well looks like JuJu had a change of heart and he’s back at it. Much to the chagrin of SAS, a well-known Steelers fan. JuJu is on another squad now so he’s not really Stephen A’s problem anymore.
Smith-Schuster Has Been A Productive Receiver In His Career
Smith-Schuster popped on the scene and in his first two NFL seasons the talented USC Trojans star tallied 169 catches for over 2,300 yards and 14 touches to paydirt.
But his last three in Pittsburgh he totaled just 154 grabs for just over 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns. A lot of his early success came as a recipient of an offense which featured Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. Once Brown was traded, things didn’t go as smoothly for JuJu, but that’s not to say he can’t play, because he can.
Being in K.C., is a fresh start with another well-run franchise, that possesses arguably the game’s best young signal-caller in Patrick Mahomes. With Smith-Schuster on a one-year prove-it deal, he may want to take heed to SAS’s words and just focus on playing a tad bit more.
