During a recent episode of Mike Tyson’s popular HOTBOXN podcast, boxing loghweigh champion Ryan Garcia might have gotten his biggest wish granted.
As Garcia continued his verbal campaign to make a fight with the current WBA (Regular) lightweight champion, Gervonta “Tank” Davis.

The recently minted WBC interim champ was surprised when Mike Tyson pulled up Tank on Facetime and let him know that Garcia was “talking mad sh*t.”
Davis went on to remind “Iron Mike” that if he would have knocked Garcia down like his last opponent, Luke Campbell, did that he “would’ve killed him after that.”
Garcia tasted the canvas for the first time in the 2nd round of his championship winning fight last weekend at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
This bonus footage from the Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis phone call is brilliant. Mike Tyson is so hyped he starts dancing when Davis says the fight is next…

Garcia has been boasting since his 7th round TKO win that he will KO Davis in two rounds.
Tyson mediated a “conversation” between the two, which was more like Davis talking to Tyson while listening to a hype Garcia.
However, at the end, Davis agreed to a bout against Garcia as his next bout. Of course, Garcia now has a mandatory bout against current WBC lightweight champion, Devin “The Dream” Haney.

Davis is promoted by Mayweaher Promotion. Floyd Mayweather, Jr., has yet to announce the potential fight.
Mayweather has always had a serious rivalry with Garcia’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, who he beat back in 2007.
Gervonta Davis has revealed he had a phone conversation with Ryan Garcia during Mike Tyson's podcast yesterday: "That's my first time ever speaking to him. It was just us talking trash. Mike was trying to see when we're gonna fight. It's good for boxing." [@Seckbach] pic.twitter.com/65C9UaEt4p

The lightweight division is heating up with a slew of young boxers that are all vying to be number one.
Hopefully, this verbal agreement will be the start of the best on the division facing the best in their prime.
