Jeffrey Epstein Confidante Ghislaine Maxwell Arrested

Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and heiress accomplice of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has been arrested by the FBI.

Maxwell has been accused of involvement in Epstein’s alleged sexual crimes.

She was arrested in Bedford, New Hampshire around 8:30 a.m. on charges she conspired with Epstein to sexually abuse minors.

Maxwell is expected to appear in a federal court later today, according to reports.

The daughter of media baron Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine was a one-time girlfriend of Epstein’s. The two were virtually inseparable high-flying to Epstein’s many homes around the world for decades.

Maxwell is alleged to have helped Epstein groom teen girls for sex with the rich and powerful. One victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, leveled that charge against Maxwell in a 2015 defamation suit, as have a number of other women.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Jeffrey Epstein was a registered sex offender, however, he kept company with presidents, royalty, and more until he was arrested last summer.

He faced federal charges of exploiting dozens of underage girls in New York and Florida in the early 2000s.

Later he attempted suicide in custody in late July, and then died after another suicide attempt in early August.

Many believe that he was killed while in custody and the word “Epsteined” is now trending on Twitter for those fearing the same will happen to Maxwell.

Two of the guards tasked with monitoring Epstein now face federal charges for not properly supervising him before his death.

One day before his suicide, a federal appeals court released the transcript of a 2016 deposition in which Epstein repeatedly refused to say whether Maxwell had procured young girls for him.

Maxwell has stayed below the radar since Epstein’s death while a manhunt was on for her. Speculation swirled about whether she could face repercussions for her friend’s alleged abuses.

U.S. Attorney General William Barr vowed to carry on the case against anyone who was complicit with the financier.

“Any co-conspirators should not rest easy,” he said in August.
