Byron Allen cannot be stopped.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Allen Media Broadcasting, a division of Allen’s Entertainment Studios, acquired 11 TV stations from USA Television for $305 million.
“Over the past six months we’ve invested nearly $500 million to acquire best-in-class, top-tier, broadcast network affiliates,” said Allen. “We plan to invest approximately $10 billion to acquire ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox television stations over the next three years with the goal of being one of the largest broadcast television groups in America.”
Very ambitious.
Back in 2015, Allen sued Comcast for discrimination, claiming that his race was why the cable company didn’t pick up his Entertainment Studios’ channels.
The Supreme Court heard the case back in November of 2019, and a ruling that should be made as early as this summer
