Last week New England was rocked by the news that the Patriots’ hard hitting safety, Patrick Chung, had been indicted on charges of cocaine possession.
Chung was due in court Wednesday, but after his attorney plead not guilty for him yesterday, he won’t have to appear again this week.
The Patriots’ safety was indicted last week by a grand jury in New Hampshire after police found cocaine in his house on June 25th. Officials said that the police had been called to the house due to an alarm being tripped and had reason to enter when no one answered.
The 32 year-old is now scheduled to head back to court on November 8th, and if convicted, he faces a sentence of 3.5 to seven years. “Honestly, I’m here to talk about football….I’m here to talk about the Giants….My mindset is all the same.” said Chung to reporters.
