He’s proud to stand up for African-American creatives whose expression and likenesses have been misappropriated.
New York’s own 2 Milly isn’t rocking on any Fortnite block and probably won’t anytime soon.
The rapper filed a lawsuit against Epic Games for allegedly using his Milly Rock dance in Fortnite without his permission, according to TMZ. And as we all know, Epic made a lot of money off of this video game.

The suit states Fortnite players can purchase the dance, which is called “Swipe It” in the game. 2 Milly claims the dance is exactly like the Milly Rock. It also claims Fornite’s misuse of other people’s dance moves without the consent or compensation “to exploit African-American talent” for profit.
2 Milly is suing Epic for damages and legal fees. His attorney David L. Hecht of Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht LLP gave TMZ a statement saying, “(he’s) proud to stand up for African-American creatives whose expression and likenesses have misappropriated. Epic is enjoying record profits off of downloadable content in Fortnite, yet has failed to pay or even ask permission to use artists’ intellectual property and likenesses over many of its popular emote dances.”
