Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj have joined forces for a remix of Beyoncé’s song “Flawless.” Taking time to comment on the infamous elevator situation between her husband Jay Z and sister Solange, Bey raps, “Of course sometimes shit go down, when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator.”
Monday morning, Nicki spoke with Hot 97 about the single saying, "I'm not gonna lie, recently I thought it would never happen, cause I felt like if she was gonna ask me she woulda been asked me. I think the stars just aligned the right way, we're just in the right places in our career that it makes sense now," she said. "With the release of her last album, her records are kinda geared to what I do now, so it is what it is. She stopped by the studio and she was such a sweetheart. She was hyping me up like ‘do your thing. Don’t hold back. Go in.’ I said ‘Okay.’ We just been waiting for her to drop it. She told me that she would drop it while she was in the middle of the tour. I wrote the verse before she went on tour."
Beyoncé included the original version of "Flawless" on the setlist for her 2014 leg of the "Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour as well as on the setlist for her current "On the Run" tour with husband Jay Z.
