Zimmerman’s Parents Sue Roseanne Barr

In bizarre, left-field news, George Zimmerman’s parents are suing comedian Rosanne Barr over what’s being referred to as “Twitter vigilante justice” after Barr tweeted the address of Zimmerman’s parents’ home. The drama took place one month after Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin and still walked the streets of Sanford, Florida free.

Zimmerman’s parents, Robert and Gladys, claim they were forced into hiding and that Barr attempted to “incite a lynch mob” on their home leading to them being forced to evacuate their place in the middle of the night on March 29, 2012. This “justice” they say Barr sought, came despite Zimmerman not living at his parents’ home.

After tweeting the address, Barr followed up with another few tweets adding, "If Zimmerman isn't arrested I'll rt (re-tweet) his address again — maybe go 2 his house myself."

No word on why Zimmerman’s parents just decided to file the lawsuit this week that seeks more than $15,000 in damages. Citing Barr’s violation of Twitter terms, they say she "intentionally inflicted emotional distress." And that they "suffered emotional pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, incurred additional living expenses due to an inability to live in their home and have suffered a loss in value of their home."
