Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens got into a heated argument with a white woman in his neighborhood on Wednesday and cops were called to the scene, according to reports and a video posted to T.O.’s Instagram.
The former All-Pro wide receiver was accused by the woman of driving recklessly in their neighborhood, and nearly hitting her with his car. She was on a bicycle. She also told the responding officers that Owens was trying to intimidate her.
“You don’t yell at me and tell me I almost hit you and I didn’t,” Owens can be heard telling the woman in the video.
“But, you didn’t have to get out of your f***ing car!” she replied.
Owens continued, “You didn’t have to talk to me that way either, Karen!”
That’s when the woman yelled back, “You’re a Black man approaching a white woman!”
The woman allegedly cried to the responding officers.
“He literally came after me,” she cried.
The officers in Broward County, Florida deescalated the situation and sent everyone on their way, no arrests made.
This entire interaction went according to the script as to how almost all interactions go involving disputes between a Black and white person involving the police. All except the cops actually defusing the situation and everyone going home. This seems like a first…
We don’t know if Owens was driving recklessly or not as the woman claims, but she felt some type of way about it and started yelling and cursing at him.
Owens also felt some kind of way about how he was talked to by this woman and decided to let her know how he felt about it.
It seemed like both parties were pretty animated and heated in the argument. In that cloud of anger the white woman still had enough clarity to point out to Owens that he is indeed a Black man approaching a white woman.
Throughout their interaction Owens referred to her as “Karen,”a derisive named used for white women who are entitled and exercise their white privilege in viral videos.
The argument continues as the police arrive and both parties tell their side of the story and like clockwork the psychological response kicks in and the white woman starts crying. She accused Owens of coming after her, even though her husband was present alongside her.
It was a scene that on first glance you want to laugh but when you really consider what’s going on it’s a dangerous situation that has been going on for far too long in this country.
Prior to the arrival of the cops the woman is using foul language at Owens and being aggressive and once the police arrive, her attitude and tone shifts to that of a victim.
Owens mentioned that she was talking crazy to him saying he was the subject of the Home Owner’s Association (HOA) meetings for not paying violations, she commented on his status as a former athlete/celebrity.

Based on the video footage and the alleged comments she made it seems fairly obvious that there was a specific resolution/response this woman wanted from Owens, and she didn’t get it. This seemed to anger her and she got aggressive with her posture and language.
It continued up until the arrival and then she switched to playing the victim complete with tears.
Just another day in America, welp.
