XFL Legend “He Hate Me” Rod Smart Is Missing

Police are searching for the former XFLer, who’s been reported as “a missing person”.

In the spring of 2001, “He Hate Me” ran onto the field for the XFL’s Las Vegas Outlaws, and Rod Smith because an instant sensation.

Over the next seven years, he bounced around the NFL with teams like the Eagles and Panthers, the last team he was seen on being the Titans’ practice squad in 2008.

But now “He Hate Me” is really missing from the public eye, and friends, family and the police are worried.

Today, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina issued a missing persons advisory for Rod Smart, 42, as he was last seen six days ago south of Charlotte in Indian Land, S.C., driving a silver 2016 Nissan Maxima with the license plate PJR_1759, according to deputies.

“Family and deputies have concerns about his well-being and safety,” said Doug Barfield, a spokesman for Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Smart, who once owned a home in Indian Land years ago, was seen at a business in Charlotte less than a week ago but when officials arrived, he was gone. He was then, according to The Herald, “listed as a missing person with the National Crime Information center network.”

“This is a missing person,” said Barfield. “There is nothing nefarious about this.”

Hopefully Rod is ok and will be found safely.
