The formula worked so well in “Training Day”, so why not do it again, but this time on horses.
The trio of Antoine Fuqua, Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke have reunited, and added “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pine to the mix, to re-create the 1960 Western classic “The Magnificent Seven.”
The film, from Sony Pictures and MGM, stars Denzel as Sam Chisolm, a man who’s hired to rescue a small town from the deadly clutches of an evil industrialist played by Peter Sarsgaard. Denzel rounds up a crew consisting of Josh Farraday (Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent DOnofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier).
The Magnificent Seven is slated to be released on Sept. 23.
