The film stars ‘Get Out’ actor Daniel Kaluuya and actress Jodie Turner-Smith, who’s best known for her film Nightflyers.
The film is about a couple (Kaluuya and Turner-Smith) on their first date. After they are pulled over for a minor traffic infraction, the situation escalates—a story that is all too familiar. The incident ends tragically after Kaluuya kills the police officer in self-defense. Terrified and in fear for their lives, the pair—one a retail employee and the other a criminal defense lawyer—are now forced to go on the run.
But the incident is captured on video and goes viral, and the two unintentionally become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief, and pain for people across the country.
During their journey, they forge a connection and powerful love that reveals their shared humanity that shapes their lives as they know it.
