TSL Sports Talk Recap: Kyle Casey

Last week on TSL Sports Talk, Harvard forward and NBA prospect, Kyle Casey joined us to about his basketball career. Casey played alongside fellow alum and Houston Rocket’s Jeremy Lin his freshman year and finished out his college career under Tommy Amaker. TSL Sports Talk host, Mark Gray started the discussion by asking Casey what it was like going from being The Ivy League’s quintessential academic institution to The Ivy League’s quintessential basketball school right now.

Casey:

“We kind of left our footprint on Harvard the Ivy League in a strong way. That’s something we set out to do … That was one of the coaches dreams- coming here and building a dynasty, he used to say. I think that’s definitely what this program is on the way to. He [Amaker] still has some good young talent there and some great leaders there now still, so Harvard is definitely good for years to come, but the building process has been a great ride.”

Listen to the full interview below to hear about Casey’s NCAA tournament experience, the difference between his first season at Harvard and his last, how he dealt with his injury his sophomore year, and more.
