TSL Sports Talk Recap: Corey Parson

Last week on TSL Sports Talk, Sirius XM’s Fantasy Football Exec, Corey Parson, joined us to talk about the upcoming 2014 NFL season and how he helps fantasy football fans get ready for the upcoming fantasy football draft. TSL Sports Talk host, Mark Gray, started the discussion by asking Parson what he thought would be some trends that separate the contending teams from the contending players.

Parson:

“There has a been a shift in the landscape of fantasy football with more leagues going to PPR (point per reception). That kind of takes the omen off of the big name running back and puts it on the big name wide receivers. Now, some of the top running back will continue to go early in the drafts, but you want to have two top-notch wide receivers. You've got to get them early. I’m talking about receivers that are heavily targeted and can get in the end zone. That’s the mark of the true fantasy team going into this season. You've got to have big name wide receivers because as the NFL changes to a passing league, fantasy football must also adapt."

Listen more to find out which position players you can hold off on drafting early, who are the must-have wide receivers, which players surprisingly didn’t make the top of the list and more.
