TSL Sports Talk Recap: Corey Parson

This week on TSL Sports Talk, Sirius XM’s Fantasy Football Exec, Corey Parson, joined us as we begin the countdown to the start of the NFL season. TSL Sports Talk host, Mark Gray, started the discussion by talking to Parson about how the value of the running back has diminished in significance as the NFL shifts towards a more passing-oriented league. The Fantasy Football Exec was then asked for some advice on deciding when to draft impact running backs for this year's fantasy football league.

Parson:

“Basically it all depends on how your board shapes up on where you fall. If you're at the top half of the draft picks, picking the top 5 guys, like LeSean McCoy -even thought he's battling turf toe right now, I'm not really worried about it yet – Jamaal Charles, Matt Forté and Adrian Peterson are still very good picks in the top 5. But once you get into the second round guys, like Gio Bernard and Demarco Murray… what I'm noticing this year is that everyone is trending towards grabbing wide receivers. And its starting to push some quality running backs that will have opportunity down the board."
