This week on TSL Sports Talk, veteran boxing journalist, Tim Smith, joined our host, Mark Gray, to talk about the year in boxing in 2014.
In discussing how boxing never seems to get the respect it's due, and that it's continually being overshadowed by MMA, Smith said, "It just always has a problem of being taken seriously" and "The sport has a big credibility problem."
Smith went on to state that 2014 was a very mediocre year in the sport and that it lacked big fights; even Mayweather and Pacquiao fought what he deemed "pedestrian fights."
Everyone is waiting for the big fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao to be signed next year, with Mark calling it the "Leonard-Hearns of this generation."
