You ever stumbled across an expert artisan in his or her chosen field without knowing it? Take it from me, it becomes very embarrassing after the fact. Recently comic book writer and publisher Roosevelt Pitts, Jr reached out to The Shadow League via social media to notify us of his upcoming project Purge: Past Unspoken.
The artwork looked very familiar at first glance. So I agreed to the interview with hopes of posting the conversation to the TSL Comic Book Convo Podcast that we run every Tuesday. When I asked Pitts to send over some additional information regarding the project, the panels immediately jumped out at me. Perfectly lines, beautiful hues, they were masterpieces in and of themselves.
So I took a gander at the gathering of talent on this project: Mshindo Kuumba, Artistic Director, Penciler, Inker and Colorist. Larry Stroman Penciler and inker. Krishna & Balram Banerjee Cover Artist, Penciler, Inker, Colorist and Letterer. Jose Luis Cover Artist. C.R. Ward Editor. Vince White Cover Artist. Sanford Greene Penciler.
Then was like Oh, snap!
And so I present to you my podcast interview with Roosevelt Pitts, Jr. regarding his Kickstarter campaign for Purge: Past Unspoken. Also, theres a special offer for those that listen to the podcast- an exclusive 18 x 24 print by Jose Luis and Mshindo Kuumba.
