TSL Comic Book Convo Presents: A Supreme Spring-Summer Cinematic Smorgasbord

Many comic book fans have been kept all cozy and warm through the winter months thanks to television offerings like Gotham on Fox, The Flash and Arrow on WB, The Walking Dead on AMC, and Agents of SHIELD on ABC.  While some of us squealed with glee in the at the very thought of Barry Allen and Iris looking lovingly into each others eyes, others moan and groan at how Arrow is too much like Batman. However, this year were stoaked to have been blessed with the new Daredevil series from Netflix starring Charles Cox as Matt Murdock. If you dont know who Matt Murdock is then youre most certainly reading the wrong column, homie. Check out a few trailers of this gritty, noir-esque superhero series from Netflix and maybe thatll help jog your memory.

If that one didnt tickle your fancy for comic book inspired mayhem then perhaps will peak your interests.

You cant front on the sheer badass-edness of the trailers. But thats not all thats about to jump off on the small screen. Netflix will as be forming its own superteam with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist scheduled to get their own shows in the coming months as well.

Additionally, The CWs iZombie, which is based on the DC Comic of the same name, debuted last month and has been garnering rave reviews for star Rose McIver and the shows storyline as well. Although the TV series departs from the material from the Vertigo/DC offering.

In addition to those series,  there are rumors of a Supergirl offering being in development, an X-Men title and even a Teen Titans joint as well. Not to mention the fact that AMCs Fear The Walking Dead will drop this summer as well. TSL Comic Book Convo will most certainly keep you abreast of those situations.  As it stands, TNT, Fox, Cinemax and HBO are trying to get in on the comic book thing. Eventually, well get tired of it. But were all in for now.

While were on the subject of being all in, most fans of Deadpool were not all in on Ryan Reynolds being selected as Marvels Merc with the Mouth after his less than stellar performance as Green Lantern. But some folks are changing their mind after getting a glimpse at these scintillating teaser of Reynolds in full Deadpool gear.

Were about as psyched as the next Blerd as far as Deadpool and its potential are concerned, but thats not going to be in theaters until early 2016. The film that weve salivating over for the past 2 years is less than a month away. That’s right! Were all really just waiting for the comic book related spring-summer blockbusters like Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Fantastic Four,  Ant-Man and Fantastic Four to light up the big screen. But, at the end of the day, were all really just waiting for the comic book related spring-summer blockbusters like Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Fantastic Four,  Ant-Man and Fantastic Four to light up the big screen.
