The Toronto Raptors have fired head coach Dwane Casey on Friday, which was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Casey helped lead the Raptors to 59 wins and a one-seed this season. On Wednesday, he was voted as “Coach of the Year” by his peers.
But as it has happened for the Raptors in the past few years, they ran into a buzzsaw with LeBron James playing at an absurdly high level all series.
