Tom Brady will appeal his latest suspension

You just knew he wasn’t going to take his suspension and go quietly. Nope.

Today we’ve learned that Tom Brady will appeal his latest suspension, which was reinstated by the Second Circuit United States Court of Appeals last month. His legal team is arguing that the Second Circuit Court’s decision will harm all union workers, not just NFL players.

The petition, which will be filed later this afternoon, will present the argument that, per USA Today, the split decision from three judges “conflicts with decisions by the Supreme Court and other appeals courts on multiple issues surrounding NFL Commissioner Roger Goodells handling of the case in his role as arbitrator.”

The problem for the commissioner was simple, NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith told USA TODAY Sports. No one believes the conclusions of the Wells Report, and thus, he was stuck with all of the facts developed at the hearing that disproved the Wells Report and he had to base his punishment on something completely new.

Whether its a player or any worker, youre entitled to know why youre being punished, and no one who has decided to take on the responsibilities of being an arbitrator should be allowed to make it up as they go along.
