Earlier this month, Tiger Woods began noticing cracks in walls and doorframes throughout his mansion on Florida's Jupiter Island. Turns out that due to the decomposing Florida soil, his mansion was sinking. Fortunately, he won't have to live like a gopher thanks to contractors who have begun stabilizing his home with helical piles. On the downside, Woods couldn't sink a putt all weekend or find a fairway and was barely able to sink nine birdies thrugh 72 holes, much less threaten the leaderboard.
No contractor, swing coach or putting instructor can seem to repair Woods' psyche in major tournaments. Less than one week after lapping the field for 72 holes at Bridgestone, Woods collapsed from day one of the PGA Championship and began Sunday 13 strokes back.
In his final major of the year, Woods didn't waste time waiting until Sunday to fade. Instead, he was a non-factor after his first romp through the Oak Hill course's 18 holes. On Sunday, Woods continued sinking down the leaderboard, finished 4-over par for the tournament and voiced his frustrations afterwards.

Woods admitted it was tough teeing off Sunday not having a chance to win.
"It's more frustrating not being in it," he said. "Having a chance on the back nine on Sunday, I can live with that. It's always frustrating going out there. … I'm 3 over today, got to 7 and I'm grinding my tail off coming in just to shoot even par for the day. And I'm nowhere in it."
Up next for Woods is the FedEx Cup playoffs, and the five-time winner this year on the PGA Tour leads the points standings by a considerable margin. He is expected to play the first event beginning Aug. 22 at the Barclays. Following the four FedEx Cup events is the Presidents Cup. Woods is scheduled to play a tournament on the European Tour in Turkey in November.
Woods will have to wait another eight months to continue his assault on Jack Nicklaus' majors record, but there is a cnsolation prize. If he continues winning tournaments, Woods can pass Sam Snead for total wins with four more PGA victories.
