Brittney Griner has received several job opprtunities since leaving Baylor as one of the most successful women's basketball players in history. In addition to a Nike shoe campaign, she was drafted No. 1 overall by the Phoenix Mercury, will play in China during the offseason, and was offered a spot on the Dallas Mavs summer league team. Her latest offer is from the Harlem Globetrotters, who drafted her in their seventh annual player draft.

“Brittney Griner is a great ambassador for the game of basketball and a terrific player. We fully support her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury,” said Harlem Globetrotters CEO Kurt Schneider. “Our North American tour runs from the end of December to the end of April, which would not conflict with the WNBA season. The Globetrotters already have two outstanding female stars in TNT Maddox and T-Time Brawner, so the transition to our roster would be seamless.”
Griner, who played in college at Baylor and high school at Nimitz, already has committed to play in China in the off season so she probably won’t be joining the Globetrotter’s act.
“While it’s an honor to be considered, I am under contract with the Phoenix Mercury and the Zhejiang Golden Bulls,” Griner told espnW on Tuesday. “And I am 100 percent committed to doing all I can to bring championships to our fans.”
The Globetrotters also drafted Mariano Rivera.
