The First Team consists of LeBron James, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis and Damian Lillard. After previous All Star snubs made against Lillard, it’s great to see his hard work be recognized by the voters.
According to the release on NBA.com, this selection gives LeBron James 12 First Team honors in his 15 year career and pushes him past Kobe and Karl Malone, who both had 11 First Team selections. James, who was a unanimous selection, was joined by James Harden, who was the other unanimous selection to the team. Davis garnered 96 votes, Lillard 71 and Durant 63. James, Harden and Davis are the three finalists for League MVP as well.
The Second and Third teams are equally as stacked, with young players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victor Oladipo being recognized for their season long performances.
