WATCH: Diana Taurasi’s Top 5 Buzzer Beaters

Diana Taurasi is considered by many to be the greatest womens basketball player in WNBA history and every game-winning dagger she hits, every playoff game she dominates further cements her legacy as The GOAT.

Taurasi already owns the coveted all-time scoring record and she’s the first woman in history to drain 1,000 three-pointers. That speaks for itself.

Cynthia Cooper, Maya Moore, Candace Parker, Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson have all staked claim to that title at some point, but last nights Game 2 of the WNBA playoffs semifinals between Taurasi’s Phoenix Mercury and her good friend Sue Birds Seattle Storm, further ensured that when she hangs up her sneakers, Taurasi’s legacy will be unmatched by any womens baller in WNBA history.

Despite losing 91-87 in overtime, Taurasis clutch gene helped the Mercury turn a 19-point deficit into a game that just eluded their grasps.

At this point, you have to put Taurasi neck and neck with Cheryl Miller as a GOAT candidate, but when it comes to game-winning shots, Taurasi might reign supreme. On Tuesday night, “White Mamba” hit a shot off balance trey in the corner with the defense swarming to send the game into overtime.
